As if there aren’t enough reasons to be in Anchorage in the summer – mild, beautiful weather, occasional city wildlife, hiking, biking, and almost endless daylight in which to experience all of these things – there are some fantastic summer events and festivals to look forward to, as well.
There is Music In The Park that goes through August 15th, the Live After Five Concert Series every Friday night that spans through the summer months, and the 2014 Downtown Summer Solstice Festival on June 21st, just to name a few. Summer solstice is a big deal in Alaska, and the locals love to celebrate 22 hours of daylight on the longest day of the year.
Summer is an exciting and joyful time to experience all that Anchorage and the great state of Alaska have to offer.
